I hate them with a passion that is difficult to match. The single lane versions are bad enough, but the road planners here in Wisconsin have fallen in love with them. 2 lane versions, even the occasional 3 lane.
This idiocy makes absolutely no provision for “rush hour” or other heavy traffic periods. During peak times you have to go of your way to avoid them if you are trying to “cross” a busy main drag.
Aside for the practical problems these monstrosities violate the very core of left hand drive/right side roads. RIGHT of way. It’s not just a command. It is a directional mandate. American drivers have it pounded into our heads.
A few small roundabouts here. Very narrow right-of-ways. Almost not enough space for one vehicle to turn let alone two cars to pass on connecting whatevers. I stay away from them as most do. The businesses don’t enjoy the sales or stops they otherwise would.

Can’t be any worse than the new “cross-over” entrance and exit ramps where you end up on the wrong side of the road on the over/under pass.

I have to endure several roundabouts on my daily commute. Too many drivers use the “Stop and wait for 200 yards of clear road” method.
