I received 10 cents per tooth. My allowance was 25 cents. 25 cents was enough to buy a bottle of Dr. Pepper (12 cents, and still my fav), a comic book (12 cents, and usually Classics Illustrated), and a massive jaw-breaker (which would last me two days).
