Grandpas learn to back off and let their grandkids win once and a while or the kids won’t play anymore.

I accepted a foot race challenge from my granddaughter once. She smoked me in the first 30 feet, then had the audacity to turn around and run backwards to say “Come on PaPa, you can make it!” Grumble, snort, mumble. . . .

I played a game of 21 with my niece on their family’s basketball court. I surrendered when the score was 15-3.

You should not play chess with them either.
