I was just telling my physics students tonight about how phones used to have antennas you pulled out, back in the olden days (subject was electromagnetic waves and antennas).
There is a story from the film camera days of a professional drag racing photographer flew to a race in Florida, his camera gear didn’t make it. So he bought a MickeyMatic camera and showed up at the race. These looked like Mickey’s head, with a flash cube between his ears. After a few minutes an official told him he had to stop, the racers were distracted and laughing.
