It has become so expensive to run for president that those with a pre-built in recognition factor (“stars” of some type) will see an increasing advantage, despite most if not all having no experience governing.
An old saying says that the cream rises to the top.. In politics this does not seem to be the case. Sometimes the choice comes down to the prospect of who is capable of the least damage.
