Some dogs, and cats, cannot handle large changes like that. Just open it and give her access. We moved in June and it took our pets about a month to get used to the new place. Fortunately we had used it as a vacation home until making a permanent move in June. The doggies love it, from big city to 10 acres near the woods and ocean. Now my arms hurt more after walkies. But the doggies are happy.

You didn’t remove her cage. You removed her den. You’d freak out too if you came home and your house was gone.
