If you have a beach front house on the Texas gulf, it’s almost de rigueur to tether a kite off the deck.

Next thing she does is walk over and shuts the window. Then locks it and tells Wallace to get his kite or play outside.

I did this during a vacation to the island of Kauai. I used fishing line and tied it to the porch railing. The kite stayed up for the whole week.
