    Sounds like some of the people who call into our police station. I like to push them and ask them why someone looks suspicious. A common response is, “They just look like they don’t belong here.” This is followed up with the question, “Why is that suspicious?”

    Last summer I was eating a VERY late dinner at my local Hardens’. As I was coming out I saw a group of young African American men. I stopped and looked at them and they looked at me and I said “Tiquan?” and he said “Library Lady?” then we hugged each other. I had scared him to death. Then I asked him If he had gotten in to my Alma Mater, NCCU. He got a scholarship to Howard and was saying goodby to his friends.
