I never understood betting on football, what a “spread” meant, how odds work. I watch hockey, baseball, football, volleyball strictly for entertainment and to figure out the coach’s strategy. When you live pay check to pay check, your hard earned money should go to the family. Opinions may vary.

Back in the ‘70s I’d always take the Colts and the points. They didn’t win much but they beat the spread most weeks.
