My grandfather and grandmother were “snowbirds;” they would drive from New York to their home in Florida every year. My grandfather said that there was a hole in the floor of the car on my grandmother’s side from where she tried to step on “her” brake.
They also knew the location of every public women’s restroom on the Eastern Seaboard. The car could go a lot further between stops then grandma could.
