If it’s any consolation, Patty, I’ve been typing for 30 years now — and I STILL can’t do more than about 50 words per minute on a good day!

Practice makes perfect.

What’s that saying about giving a thousand monkeys a thousand typewriters, etc. etc.? Keep at it, Patty and you’ll eventually start making sense.

I have a typewriter around somewhere! Remember typing class in school?

Learned on an old cast metal Smith-Corona typewriter… Elite 12 spaced type with the optional red/black ribbon. I can still see that gray metal body, the black roller, carriage return handle, and the white lettered green keys…

I see her problem – she should only be using her thumbs…

I still have a typewriter that doubles as a word processor.

I have my portable typewriter still. It is under my computer desk.

I dated the Typing student assistant in H. S., I passed typing.
