I’ll give Charlie Brown the benefit of the doubt and believe that the spray of water was unintentional. I remember those fountains in the park—which, like many still today, were unpredictable when one pressed that button. I still can easily end up with a face full of water like poor Violet and Snoopy got.
Been a while since I saw a drinking fountain like that. Now their usually so weak on their water flow it’s questionable if you want to drink as you’d pretty much have to touch the spigot with your mouth to get any water. Doubt it’s that way everywhere (hope it’s not that way, actually), but that’s most of the fountain’s I’ve been running into in the past twenty-two years or so.
