Our cat likes nature shows on PBS. Especially the ones about birds.

I always liked the Chuck Wagon dog food commercials.

I remember seeing a dog food commercial (forget which brand) with a white background and bowl of dogfood front and centre. Suddenly, a large dog “ran” up to the bowl and started eating…but by the movement it was evident that someone behind him had shoved him, hard. Only saw the ad once, but never forgot it. I always wondered how the humans could go on about how tasty and delicious the dogfood was…had someone tasted it?

“Ideal, Ideal the 7 course meal, if dogs and cats had their way they’d eat Ideal every day!” Dog food add from the 1950s, I have a bank that resembles a dog food can from them. !

In the 1970’s, Charlie Brown and Snoopy appeared in ads for Rival Dog Food.

Kind of like some people only watch the Superbowl for the commercials.

If any kids are reading this, that’s what a TV looked like 60+ years ago: a small screen in a big wooden box.
