Georgie must have ran because the girls were the boys girlfriends and the boys were ready to beat Georgie to a pulp.

Must be the brothers/boyfriends of all the girls Georgie kissed…no wonder he is running!

So….did Georgie intend to make the girls cry? Did the boys actually want to play with Georgie; did the boys even care that Georgie ran away?

Don’t jump to conclusions, Lucy; a psychiatrist needs to ask about these things.

As my name is George and I was taunted mercilessly by this rhyme in grade school, I can not find any humor in this strip.
