Lucy was still a little girl. She hasn’t caught up to Charlie Brown in age yet.

Lucy didn’t have that something, so Charlie Brown didn’t understand.

When my son was learning to walk, he didn’t have the confidence to do it on his own even though he could. We used to take a hand towel and give him one end and hold the other and go on walks. If we let go of the hand towel, he would sit down.

But years later if it were Schroeder insisting she’d say yes…

And then wake up realizing it was a dream.

Now if it had been Schroeder, there’d have been no problem…at least not for Lucy.

My how the little biotch changed over the years that Schulz drew the strip. Didn’t like her in the beginning and definitely didn’t like her in the end.

I seem to recall a similar strip where Lucy gives Charlie Brown her mitten to hold (Which is attached to her jacket sleeve by a string) instead of her hand. Anyone else?
