Need to change your can provider
A trick I learned as a kid: cut the string between the two cans, and tie those new ends to the two sides of a wire clothes hanger. When you talk across it, your voice sounds tinny and distorted like some sort of robot.
The string needs to be pulled real tight for that to work, Chuck.
