SWEETBILL: I too go back - either in the PM or first thing the following AM (Brenda and this site). I do read a few other gocomics strips, but rarely comment.
(REX MORGAN) Berna says, “It’s a lot of money and it scares me!” Today’s strip has made me consider whether the ticket actually IS valid….but Berna will decide to use it for the greater good rather than take the money for herself. If so, I am sure Dex will be dismayed.
(APT 3-G). We have a treasure trove of 20s & 30s Art Deco architecture here in South Florida - the area is known as “South Beach.” I hope they show some Art Deco in the strip - I think it would be fun to draw if I were the artist. Copy & Paste the entire link below into the address line:

(PHANTOM) I may go back and read the story up to Diana’s recent rescue by the Phantom. MerryMarg’s synopsis on 12/24 will continue to be helpful. (Thanks again Marg)
(BRENDA STARR) “Very little in life is absolute, except death and newspaper headlines.” –BS on 8/26/2002 (Nick Nikon episode) I didn’t find the Brenda strip until Spring 2008 (Kazookistan episode), so am going back and looking at some previous strips. A new episode started right around New Year’s in 2002.
Florchi, checked your link, but didn’t know what to click on.
Last time I was in Miami was about 1970, they didn’t really have much art-deco then, but after the money rolled in
and new owners bought up everything and did /restore
the art deco look ,it transform it in to the place to be seen.
Clubs galore, lines to get in, the new jet set of 2000’s era.
SWEETBILL: Thanks for heads-up re Art Deco link. I can’t get the link to light-up properly, so you have to use a copy and paste (of the 2-line link) instead.
MerryMarg: Special Message: Could you do a favor and go to 1/1/2002 and see if you, as a Genius fan, can post a comment? e.g. “This is a test.” I tried a “test” comment and it just kept giving me the Genius sign-up screen. I could not post at the 2002 strip.
Marg - once you posted, I was able to post a test message as well! This opens up a possibility. Assuming BS will stay on the server, as Annie has, then we could start reading the BS 1/1/02 story on 1/1/11. A new BS storyline begins right around 1/1/02. Same month & day as real time (different year). Of course there would be less suspense as we could cheat by looking ahead - but I think it might be fun. Especially given the alternative of no Brenda at all.
Florchi - don’t know. I picked up the daily Phantom in the middle of her rescue. Didn’t realize that there were two threads - Sundays and then M - Sa. Interesting approach. my local paper has it on Sundays only.

P.S. If we do this, I will probably get a Genius subscription as well, as it may be needed to open up the comment columns for the 2002 strips.

Phantom: Is that is typo in the last frame: “Tell me about HER! You, former jailer.” ??
Shouldn’t it be: Tell mer about her, your former jailer??

Okay started Apartment 3G . I love the woman’s comment - “you couldn’t figure that out for youself”!!!
Is Margo the owner of 3G? Who’s the guy.
