When youâre a kid, tasks are assigned separately, and you think things can be finished.
âMake your bedâ; âDo your homework.â
Then youâre done.

When youâre an adult, everything is continuousâŚ.
Your job, the cooking, the dishes, the grassâŚ
the kids, if you have them, and the car repairs, and the bills. Much more.
Nobody assigns the tasks⌠itâs up to you to look, and keep upâŚ.
and you discover that youâre never âdone.â

The awareness and acceptance of that is one measure of adulthood.

I was that kid most of the time. Homework was done before I left school. My son was the same way.
