I used to work taking pictures of kids with Santa. The computer (a desktop) was in a cabinet, surrounded by dense foam, with it’s back up against a thick, foam-covered wall. When you opened the cabinet door, you got a blast of hot air and you could hear the fan desperately trying to do it’s job. I told my boss over and over that the computer shouldn’t be closed up like that. Sure enough, one day it over-heated. She called tech support, they sent a guy out with a new computer, and put in the same place as the old one.
The next day my boss told me they found the problem. A ladybug had been lying on the computer’s floor. I think the thing overheated and that poor ladybug died of suffocation.
