This reminds me of an old episode of Little House on the Prairy. Mary (the older Ingles girl) fell in love with a guy and wanted to marry him. When she asked her father, he answered “Wait till you’re 15”. I knew that the series was based on a true story, and couldn’t believe what I was hearing. It was then that my parents told me that it’s not that long ago that girls often got married at that age.
