I don’t know if Hopper ever did a painting like this, but Stel certainly has the style down. Cleo is an excellent chaperone, as long as she stays awake!

Looks like Dick and Judy are all dressed up for the yearly Rendezvous. Ready to trade in their furs to the Rocky Mountain Fur Company for more supplies.

Either that, or maybe they’ll head for End Of Trail sponsored by SASS.

I think Dick and Judy look terrific. Great costumes, especially the hats! The buckskin, Dick’s man-in-black thing, Judy’s authentic fur.

Cleo looks as if she is concerned about the young lady’s welfare. I don’t think she likes the cut of this young man’s jib.

BTW… I think Dick and Judy look great too.

Though I did years of Renaissance Faire, I’ve never done any 19th century reenactments or shooting meets.

I have friends who do, or did, some of whom would love to get their hands on those outfits!

I don’t know what it is about Hopper’s work, but I find all of them so fascinating. Especially when Stel finds a way to add Cleo to them. Beautiful.
