Let’s not forget what football is really about THESE days…..paying huge ticket prices, pay-per-view costs, outrageous parking fees and sky-high souvenir and consumables expenses to cover the multi-million dollar paychecks of a bunch of extremely wealthy athletes to play a game of football. Oh yeah, now I remember! GO TEAM!
I’ve never figured out why 150 million people watch the Super Bowl. It’s pathetic to watch just for the commercials; YouTube is better. And it’s the most ref-adjusted and dragged out game of the year, often taking an hour longer than a regular season game. It’s an excuse to party, eat junk food, and get drunk. Nothing more. The M*A*S*H* finale is still, to me, the legitimate holder of “most watched TV event in the USA.”
I haven’t been to a sporting event in years. Costs too much. When did I stop going? When I lived in Orlando (for a short time)…in the Shaq O’Neal era. An old friend from my home town came to visit, and we went to an Orlando Magic game. Tickets cost a ridiculous $25. That’s when it hit me! Watch sports on TV…cable is a LOT less expensive. I’m very kuripot (Tagalog for cheap) and proud of it.

Go Rams! Patriots suck!
Oh, and by the way, congratulations West Coast Eagles! What did you put in Collingswood’s water to make them go to sleep at the half?

Google superbowl LIII commercials and get 24 of them that have been leaked from cbssports.com.
Yay! I don’t have to suffer through all the BS of game day.

I chant, “Puppy Bowl! Puppy Bowl! Puppy Bowl!” I tend to root for the team with the most puppies that look like goldens.

Who but a bunch of un-American hypocrites will watch the N-ational F-elon L-eague’s Stupor Bowl?
