Selective saving, certainly a highly trained dog’s perogative.

Very good dog. Now if we could just turn that same outrage toward factory farms. Pigs are at least as intelligent as dogs and can be as loyal and affectionate toward people, yet we subject them to conditions that would rival anything that make dog fighting look civilized. And we reward the sadistic companies that remove teeth and tails from conscious pigs, cut the beaks off of live chickens, pack animals so tightly and in such filth that they need to be injected with drugs simply to survive, create conditions that are spawning antibiotic-resistant viruses that will almost certainly create a global pandemic, and destroy the environment and property values around and downstream of the factory farms by giving them ever-increasing profits, as well as government subsidies.
