When I was in elementary school in the early 60s, it was popular to add metal taps to the bottom of our dress shoes. No one knew how to to tap dance. We just liked the sound as we tapped down the school hallways.
I give her 3.2 seconds before Mom’s every thought is “WHAT WAS I THINKING???!?” And just WAIT until Ms. Blossom tells Alice she can’t wear her squeaky shoes to school!
