I read Catcher in the Rye in college (about 1962) and I really felt for Holden Caulfield, really understood his pain. Then I came across a copy a few months ago and started to reread it. Got a couple of chapters into it and thought, “Why doesn’t somebody slap that spoiled, obnoxious brat right across the mouth?”

Love the idea. Still fond of Catcher in the Rye, though. ;)

How about: “moan, whine, complain, moan, pretentious whine, complain, moan, whine, complain, misogynist moan, whine, complain, moan, whine, complain, moan, homophobic whine, complain” Or perhaps that’s getting away from the comic’s mission statement.

How about “I want to be alone”?
Or:
“I want to recluse myself from the case.”

I think he’d suggest a diet of bananafish for his critics.
