We tried to teach our first husky to say “out” when he wanted to go out. He understood the word “out” and he often made a sound that sounded like “out” but we couldn’t get him to link his own sound to our word.
I had a Malamute who said “I love you”. After repeating it countless times, he said it. I told the teacher, a nun, and she didn’t believe me! So I brought NIKKO to the class picnic and showed them he DOES say it. The nuns mouth flew opened and the look was a Kodak moment…
