I would think that a donut would be the perfect thing to have with you on a golf course — look at a donut and you’ll see that it has a hole in one!!
You mark the ball so the ball is no longer blocking the line of the other golfer. In this case, now the donut is blocking the line.
If it’s in your line of putt, though, he is obligated to move the mark to one side.
Using a donut as a marker is an acquired taste.
Would a “hole in one” joke work here?
