I was once caught, years ago, on a highway just like this, northbound from Seattle….

    Only…

I hadn’t planned to leave Seattle…. or get onto a highway, especially one with all the exits closed for miles and miles.

I’d been trying to find a certain city street.

NOT drive along a highway, watching the city, lying just out of my reach in the distance, slide past the passenger side window….

wondering how I’d ever get back.

It is frustrating to see where you want to go, off in the distance, but you just can’t find the road to take you there.Thank goodness for Google Maps and my smartphone!

Add in a traffic jam due to an accident ahead and a need for a bathroom. That’s frustrating.

This is where my 2000 F-250 4WD with the 6inch lift and oversized tires would come in handy.

It’s like those restaurants you can see from the highway, but you can’t get to them

This is when it’s handy to have a true off-road capable vehicle.

Out here on I-80 there are signs, “Frustrationville – No Services”. I think, why bother with the sign?

The exact opposite of this is Breezewood, PA. Before Interstate 70 connects to the Pennsylvania Turnpike you have to drive through the business district.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Breezewood,_Pennsylvania

Why would he want to go there, anyway?
