kjhudlow, I used to feel the same way, but if you can muster the willpower to put down a book unfinished (better still, try throwing it across the room; can’t do that with a Kindle) once you realize there’s nothing in it for you, you’ll eventually feel good about it. Life’s too short to spend reading books you don’t like, and they take time away from so many other, better books you might not otherwise get to.

I always feel like I should finish a book once I start it, even if it’s not any good. And I hate that!

I can understand writers Block (holding a pencil with erasers on both ends) but would readers block have a lock on the book, nt allowing it to open?
