Considering the way the youth of today is going, this may not be that far fetched!
When he drew this comic a high school grad could have a place of their own with a minimum wage job. I know college grads who are sleeping six in a two bedroom place.
In the 1960s they called it a commune.
Reminds me of the youth hostels where I would stay on my hitch hiking trips late 60’s early 70’s. Cheap and could often catch a ride out of town.

It probably only has two bedrooms because that’s all they can afford.
