It helps to know that there is a place to go to relax when things get too stressed. Especially when you have to worry about how much the car will cost to be fixed.

Be happy it’s coffee shops and not restrooms. When my husband and I travel, we treat ourselves to huge cappuccinos ~~ the only time we have them. (And, yes, I probably do enjoy them more than the family……….don’t tell them)

Using landmarks and such is how I give directions. Turn right at the Dairy Queen, it’s across from the Dunkin Donuts, etc.

The Mrs likes the Starbuck mugs made for the various states and locales. We have to visit at least two every time we go out of state. I prefer the local shops.

The wheel alignment shop in my home town was next to a bar. You could wait in there and drink while your car was getting aligned, and then drive it away….

That was not necessarily a good thing.

I used to locate bookstores wherever I went. When I moved to Charlotte, NC, and it only had ONE used bookstore (that closed within 4 months), a little part of me died…

North Carolina needs more BOOKS. Coffee, eh.

look for coffee shops, yes. But pick local shops, not chains. If I never have another Starbucks, I won’t miss it.
