Thank you for mentioning that yesterday, Shytimes2. Bravo for our legislature. I only hope it helps. Such a beautiful little girl, it breaks my heart.

Re: TYPICAL GOCOMICS READER (Thursday, January 6, 2011)

There was a guy from Nantucket Who learned to stand in a bucket Put it on the stove Took off his clothes Then allegedly said ‘ah…’

Have to thank (or curse) Lola for that inspiration.

I hope the zaboca are firmer than what they sell as avocados here. Oh BTW, may I squeeze the melons?

Speaking of rinsing, what IS the story of the guy getting a cow rinse?

@androgenoide From yesterday, I tend to think you’re right. My own experience is that language is crafted by the world view of those who speak it, and not the other way around.

I join with others in applauding the Arizona legislature’s swift response to the Westboro Raving Cretin Jackass Church.

The middle guy must be Lather. Therefore, it becomes a true endless cycle: Rinse, Lather, and Repeat. You wouldn’t want to stop at the end of that cycle.

As usual,Mr. Phelps, should you or any member of your I.M. Force be captured or killed, the secretary will disavow any knowledge of your existence.

Lewreader said, Where be da blonde joke?

Why do blondes buy more shampoo?

Because the directions don’t say, “Lather, rinse, repeat, stop.”

Alta, our Grande Dame of ski resorts, has a 104” base at the moment. The entire state of Utah is at 165% of normal snowpack for the water year, and the South is over 200% in places - a godsend, as they normally get the short end of the water stick. This is cause for rejoicing, in a desert state.

Thank you for posting Christina’s picture, T. I watched the memorial service tonight and found it very moving. Pres. Obama gave a wonderful speech. Re the Indian Blessing at the beginning: The Tribes are an integral part of the Southwest, and the Blessing Way is a way to restore harmony to what is awry.
