Thanks for the laugh guys.
RIP Jim Bakus
The thing about Magoo is that everything did work for him, even though there was chaos all around him.
Mr Magoo introduced my generation to some of the classics: Moby Dick, Don Quixote, Cyrano de Bergerac and of course A Christmas Carol
. . . for those, who don’t know of “Mr. Magoo”? Here is an example of his fame. Enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XbB7mo9dbEo
Blame everything on mcgoo!
I heard this on Dr. Demento back in the 80’s

I can still hear Jim Backus doing that line, which was always featured in the end credits for Magoo’s cartoons.
Nice rendering of Mr. Magoo, Scott.
Mr. Magoo, one of the comic greats! I remember when he came on CBS in the 70’s with his dog, McBarker. Leslie McNielsen’s movie was a good idea (and effort), but it did not really do Mr. Magoo justice.
I grew up on Mr Magoo and Jim Backus’ voice doing so. I recognized him from Gilligan’s Island later.
I love these nods to the old classics.
