I always thought Clark’s glasses were just plain glass, used for the disguise. Wouldn’t Superman have perfect vision? Why would he need contacts? :)
Clark’s glasses frames are enchanted. They cast a small “Obliviato” spell on everyone who even tries to guess that he is also Superman. Unbeknownst to others, Martha Kent is graduate of Ilverony, the school of wizardry and witchcraft in Connecticut.
