Moosie, your post reminded me of something my pot buddy told me in the summer of 2009.
It was the peak of a big touristic season in out town and there were cops all over the place. I asked my friend if he could find pot. He said; it’s too dangerous to smoke, there are cops all over. Take a pill, like I did. You don’t risk getting caught.
He was on ecstasy.
I didn’t try it. I don’t have any intention of trying it either. I heard it works the same way as antidepressants. Anti-depressants withdrawal is living Hell for me, so I guess ecstasy withdrawal must not be much better!

They let corruption and drug cartels to run rampant for far too long. Now, it’s nearly impossible to fix this problem internally. It’s a shame.
