Petey: I learned a new oboe piece called "Sad Little Monkey." Alice: Can we hear it? Petey: Heenkahooghoogheenkhoohoohankhahonkaonkank Alice: That was so sad. Dill: Sob. Alice: Especially the part in the middle where the monkey loses his socks in the backyard and he gets yelled at by his mom. Sniff... Dill: It's so unfair! Or the part where nobody likes him and he doesn't get invited to the lemur's party and he's home all alone. Alice: That was powerful stuff. Petey: Wow.

Methinks past life experiences are intruding on present time. Better call Pete Venkman.

That was definitely a two-hankie tune!! The “heenkhahooghoogheenk” was particularly moving!

Hey Petey, do you know how to get to Carnegie Hall?
kcphobo almost 14 years ago
Every kid who ever took beginner lessons on any instrument could relate to the title “Sad Little Monkey”. My first piano piece was called “The Happy Hobo”.

If a picture is worth a thousand words, apparently so is an oboe song.
