I’ve missed these!

I always think there will be a spider in there. Welcome back!

Good lord, it’s alive!

But then, when the mouse was found inside, you put a camera in there so that everybody on your social media web site could see it. My darkest fear was you had been gone forever. That fear is gone, for awhile.

& what a cozy lookin’ home it is!

Much worse and far more likely, a small brown recluse spider. Shake those shoes out vigorously, people.

Mice and empty boots attract snakes. “I’ve got a snake in my boot!”

One year my mom brought down boots from the attic and found a sprouting onion in one. But, no mice.

Once had a frog inside my shoe. Felt a weird bump with my toes. Don’t worry. Didn’t hurt the little guy.

In some parts of the world folks always check their shoes for scorpions, according to Spider.
