Neighborhood committees and HOAâs can go to someplace. After the city came by a few years ago and told us that patio furniture wasnât allowed in our patio, Iâve become pretty libertarian, bordering on anarchist, concerning yards and home property.
Why bother building a âtree?â It would be easier to build a gazebo-like structure with a kidâs playhouse on top. They could put stairs up to it along one side and have a nice seating area down below. It be be square, rectangular or even hexagonal with a built in bench and table and an outdoor grill/kitchen. Above they could put in smaller benches & a table for the kids and maybe even bunk beds so they could sleep in their âtreehouse.â Easier to get a building permit for, too.

wood rots and needs painting. You can study how Disney and major zoos made cement trees. Or you could build a large cement elephant playhouse.
