Ah yes. After a day spent contemplating the intractable problem of evil and the diabolical atrocities of war, itās time for another discussion on snowpants. I guess Calvin and Hobbes has a little something for everyone.
I have to admit, I was very relieved to see that todayās strip wasnāt on the topic of nuclear annihilation.
Yes Hobbs, a little lightheartedness is in order. Yesterday was much more a super serious ethics discussion than a happy romp with a sassy scamp and his faithful Hobbs. Um, I mean the tiger Hobbs, not the commenter.
Well, there Calvin and I wouldāve parted ways. I never enjoyed getting into hopeless messes for the sake of getting into hopeless messes.
His backup temperament is certainly different from mine, even though our core temperaments are the same. At the core, we want to be imaginative. As a backup, he wants to have fun, I want to be competent.
This was a common, daily occurs in the 70ās wiggle wiggle fall over great snowday imagined conquered but yet it was cool as all get out his zipper was frozen this truly is amazing sight and wow factor. āthe iced over perfect stacheā picture firemanā
Tedious, Terrible, snowpants zippers frozen with snow. I hated it! Nothing as frustrating as a jammed zipper on a coat etc. Thank heavens I am not a man.
Hobbes said, about 10 hours ago ā¦..Yeah, Calvin and I have never been able to figure out who that āHobbesā commenter isā¦
Not hard to figure out. You sometimes post as Jonathan k., and probably a couple of other names, always trying to compare yourself to a cartoon character who isnāt even an adult. Seems sort of sad really. Sorry if I misspelled your name.
fran650: I have never posted under any name other than Hobbes. Iām sorry if you donāt enjoy having Hobbes on this site, but Iām writing for others who do. You have been a long-time contributor to this site, and I have appreciated some of your comments in the past. I also supported you when you lost your favorite pet, your dog Kizzy. Please allow for some flexibility with the wide variety of posters to this site. The fact that we are not all alike makes this group very enjoyable.
HOBBES: If Calvin and his buddy Hobbes canāt figure out who the commenter āHobbesā is, have them ask me. Iāll defend my position until my computer dies.
HOBBES: I think my son, a MAC whiz who lives 600 miles away, has put so many safety features on my computer that I canāt do some of the things others can. He said he would drive down sometime this spring and fix some stuff. Iāll probably put up one avatar and have it the rest of my life.
PS: He can control my computer with his in IL through iChat, but he is a new divorcee setting up a household, has a job that takes him out of town a lot, and has custody of three children when in town. I try not to bother him.
Only when a stuck zipper in your snow pants prevents you from becoming āStupendous Manā is it aggravating. If it happens while in school and it makes you the center of attention, then itās the greatest thing to happen ever!!!!!
