Alice: It's paving over everything! Dill: Not this exploding volcano! Alice: I'm drawing a dinosaur with big feet! Dill: So? Alice: It's kicking over the volcano! Dill: I'm coloring it all with black paint! Alice: I'm ripping up the whole page! Dill: So am I! Wow! That was a good drawing fight! Alice: Yup! And I won again.

Perhaps Alice will grow up to be an author of a comic strip…. or in charge of the country’s nuclear arsenal….

Reminds me of “Sword in the Stone with Merlin and Mab’s duel. Or the issue of “Sandman” where a demon and the Lord of Dreams had a duel, ending with the demon “becoming’ anti-life, the destroyer of all things, and Dream winning by saying “I am Hope”.

I didn’t have drawing fights, we used to tape paper sheets together and draw a giant moon scape with landing rocket ships, dinosaurs, and aliens peeping through periscopes from sub-surface bases. Today’s strip reminded me of it, I’m amazed I even remember.
