richard's poor almanac let's draw! this week let's draw presidential candidate al gore, who's a democrat! by richard thompson 1. draw a rhomboid in a suit, 2. deftly limn a noble brow, flashing eyes, sensuous lips, an aquiline nose, a strong chin & thick black hair. 3. erase most of step 2. 4. et voila! al gore! careful, though-he's smarter than you! or at least me! al gore: the basic shape described in step 1 is not a rhomboid. actually it is a trapezoid.

Lately these panels have been about Al Gore and not in a complimentary way. I wonder what Mr. Thompson had against Mr. G. back when these first appeared: Could it have been those long-sleeve polos he thought made him look cool and casual?
