The sad inevitable day in everyone's life Wow! for a grocery store they sure play a lotta great music from back in the- #!@*, i'm old now.
I’d rather hear music from the 50s and 60s that you can understand than the insipid or crappy stuff that’s popular now! And yes, I AM old.
Heh, developing an interest in ansoc punk and symphonic goth metal* pays off – you’re unlikely to hear that in a checkout line.
*Although Tay Tay is pretty good too.
Yes. Yes, we are.
Better than some music today…..just sayin
It’s been proven that slower music reduces the customers’ speed, so they stay in the store loner & spend more. Unfortunately, many stores let employees choose the music & a lot of us want to get out of the store fast. Dumb management.
All of my favorite songs are now cat food and geriatric vitamin commercials…
And on that day, you’ll look down into your shopping cart and notice that everything is high in fiber, as well as being easy to chew.
Reading this while in a restaurant when Van Halen’s “Jump” started playing. That was a little too on-the-nose.
It can always be worse. The music played at Xmas in retail stores doesn’t seem to have changed in 50 years.
Spot on accurate. You think, ‘I love this song. I haven’t heard it in..how many years!?’ Cue the old speech.
