When did dress-up clothes/Halloween costumes become every-day-run-errands clothes? I know that they are now- it’s just the way it is (no matter how silly I happen to think it is personally, hey your kid, do whatever) but WHEN did this become wide-spread? Was it the early 2000’s or did this not take off until the 2010’s? I keep trying to remember when it stopped being weird to see, but I can never quite recall.
My wife bought me a Santa hat to go with my long white hair & beard. I love wearing it when I go to the Supermarket around December. Some little ones are thrilled and some are scared $#!tless and hide behind mommy and/or Daddy.

This is how 4 year olds behave. Not a second grade girl.

Shouldn’t that be “Wonder Girl?”

Wouldn’t it be cool if she had the magic lasso?
