    OK I can see how this would probably be an accident waiting to happen or could be easily abused by an unscrupulous wizard. But unless he’s actually tried it on some one I’m not seeing were this becomes a hanging offence?

    Yeah, see, it’s a good idea on paper but the ethical implications start piling up in a real hurry. Imagine what someone could do if they were to use this ability for their personal gain? You could control people to more or less do your bidding with the right application. Further, by effectively removing the fear, that could result in the subject to take unnecessary risks that could lead to them taking bodily harm that would’ve been avoided had they still that fear telling them to be careful.

    And that’s just for starters. I’m sure if given long enough, I can think of more.

    Good thing Lust was contained before this paper was published. If it had gotten hold of this technique, the last arc would have gone a lot worse.
