Oh Amanda, you have not been painting long if this is the first time LOL! That’s how I discovered that black coffee and tea make fabulous watercolor toning washes….but note the black….sugar and creamer make a mess. It is also how I discovered that certain water colors taste really dreadful and are actually dangerously toxic if ingested. Please don’t get into the habit if pointing your brush with your tongue!

Oddly enough, I have never done this with oil colors; it is only a problem with watercolors and acrylics.

You may have just discovered a brand new paint color and maybe you should get a patent on it.

It’s the first time … at least, as far as you know.

Also, it amuses me to discover there is an Icelandic State Park that is not in Iceland. Or even anywhere near Iceland.

I usually just have a water bottle on my painting table. If I should try to dip the paint brush in that, it’s time to quit.

At least you didn’t drink the paint water. Went out to lunch at IHOP with a work colleague. She mixed up the coffee and syrup and put coffee on her pancakes. Next time, she put syrup in her coffee.
