I’ve been to a scratch-n-sniff, and a smell-o-vision film. The smell-o-vision in 1962 in San Francisco. The theater was ‘plumbed’ for the gas to get to all parts of the theater, then the gas was either blown or sucked sucked out of the pipes, preparatory the next smell to be dispersed.

So welcome when you’re on a crowded bus, train, public building etc.
