Marg, on my screen it looks like ‘strike though’ as a type face.

Broomie, if you want others to like you, you first have to like yourself.

Well said Yukoner, but sometimes it’s a hard lesson.

BTW, apparently those without a picture or avatar are crossed out.

The problem with being your own best friend is that you can’t lend yourself money no matter how badly you need it. You’ll also never be able to give yourself a heartfelt speech at your funeral.

Llewellenbruce, don’t know if you’ll see this, but it is all GoComics fault. The avatar change is screwed up, and they’re in no hurry to fix it. Couldn’t even put up my Mardi gras avatar today. :-(

The people who are their own best friends often tend to be the ones nobody wants around. You know, the empty-headed grinners who make Mr. Rogers look cynical by comparison.

Man’s best friend is his dog. A boy’s best friend is his mother. Diamonds are a girl’s best friend. It’s been a long time since Broomie was a “girl”, but maybe she should zap herself up some bling.

Sherlock, to the extent that your comment implies that Mr. Rogers was anything other than wholly admirable, you’re no friend of mine.

Didn’t know it, but it doesn’t surprise me in the least.

Did you know that, for most of the run of Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood, the sweaters he wore were made by his mother? Well into adulthood, his mother would give him two hand-knit cardigans each year, one on Christmas and one on his birthday.
