GATURRO: Is this about the Gaturro movie, or a magazine? (I have seen the movie, but it’s been a while.)
CRANKSHAFT/LILLIAN: There’s that Three O’Clock High guy again (on our right)! See also the recent 9/25 strip. This is not guy’s first appearance in a Batiuk strip – see FUNKY W. on 4/26/2019 when a character says, “That’s Batton Thomas who does the Three O’Clock High strip for the newspapers.” (I don’t recall the name of the bearded FW character who is making this comment on 4/26.)
PHANTOM: There seems to be some unfinished business re Mrs. Sahara, Kadia Sahara and “Box 7,” but today’s panel 2 announces a New Adventure, and – based on the conversation between Mr. & Mrs. Walker – the New Adventure may involve Young Kit.
JUDGE PARKER: I don’t recall seeing Abbey looking so unhappy. Was the B&B a bad idea?
I thought I’d give Edge of Adventure a try and became curious about Brice Vonderbrug. He is the researcher and writer for the strip and also helps with Mark Trail. He also works as a correctional officer in Florida!
