GATURRO: The new generation has Google, iPads and cell phones, but it’s a pity (lastima) that they no longer keep anything in their head. This comment is posted with “Thanks” to Templo.

FUNKY W.: This week’s strip has been too sad to be called a “comic.” However, the story is based on a sports-related medical condition, so I am not being critical. I am in favor of using comic strips to convey public-service information (e.g. the recent CRANKSHAFT “It’s time to get your flu-shot” story arc). I think I’ll call the current FW story a graphic-novelette, instead of calling it a “comic.” While the story is sad, the storytelling and the arc work have been impressive.

REX MORGAN: This week’s arc has also brought a medical condition to light, with an implied caution that any trip and fall by someone who is pregnant requires an immediate medical checkup. This has not been a sad story…at least, not yet.

MARY WORTH: On the lighter (more “comical” side), I am always happy to see Little Libby! Libby has become one of my favorite MW characters.

Sally Forth I am REALLY not liking this story.

Mary Worth I see that the artist still hasn’t quite figured out how people hold their cell phones – or at least Wilbur.

Retail They’ve been addressing the absurdity of Christmas items going on display in September and October.
