Don’t you hate it when that happens?

It looks like Bud was trying to make a quick left turn. Sandals aren’t make for quick left turns.

Oh, the humanity!

Although I can see no evidence of one, Mr. Buffet (Jimmy, not the other one) would lead us to believe that Bud ‘stepped on a pop top and blew out a flip flop’.

I’m surprised he didn’t snap one of those ankles. Isn’t it late in the year for sandals…serves him right. And white shorts after Labor Day, tsk tsk…

Betcha his spare is flat too!

Blowout in turn three! And he’s into the grass, deep. It’s going to take quite a bit of work on that grill if he’s going to finish the race!

Just short of Willy and the poorboys dancing in the street.

It looks like Bud is trying to send a signal to the makers of the sandals with his left hand.

I always, always break the left one, so I can’t even put together a mismatched pair from the remains.

He was headed to watch Willy and the Poor Boys when he had that blow out.

Weird, I had that happen to me in my dream last night. The peg between the toes came out!

Both Bud’s sandal and equilibrium gave out at the same time.

His flip done flopped…

Bud, the lyric “Turn it on, wind it up, blow it out” does not mean that…

Bud does have a spare tire, but it’s doubtful he can use it in this situation…

Be grateful the left side blew.. causing him to land in the grass. Still, had Bud done the proper safety checks this accident may have been avoided. And.. on a side note they were called thongs when I was a kid.. now, you get a funny look when you ask for them in a shoe store.

Flip-flops are just the worst thing for your feet. The ONLY thing they are good for is short trips across hot sands at the beach. I wear hiking sandals. They have enough support that I can trust them while walking backwards photographing my cat on a fallen redwood log “bridge” 30 feet above a river.
